I'm heading out of town for the week, so I thought I'd post something before I head out. Here's a work in progress, an illustration for Chapter One, say about two-thirds done. This is more or less the style you're going to see from here on in, I'm trying to mix my usual cartoony stuff with more of an impressionistic feel.

The colours and composition are on point, I'd say. Ted might say the bird is a bit 'black', since even though it's a crow, it should belong in the same universe as everythign else and so have the same range of tonality in it. I don;t know how you'd do that.
The boy's poise in relation to the rabbit is somewhat sexual but it may be just me.
